2014Sona Mehring is the founder and CEO of CaringBridge, a nonprofit that enables healing during times of need through the support of family, friends and caregivers. She created the first CaringBridge website in 1997 during a friend’s high-risk pregnancy. With extensive experience in the information technology industry, Sona’s vision was to build upon that formative and deeply personal experience – combining the capabilities of technology with the personal needs of people facing a significant life challenge. In the years since, Sona and CaringBridge have become widely known for the creation of a personal, protected online platform that transforms an individual’s personal connections into a powerful community of support.
